Dumpster Rental FAQ's

Overloaded Dumpster

How Do I know what size is best for my project?

  • Type of project – Small cleanout vs. full remodel or new construction. Bigger projects = bigger dumpsters.

  • What you’re throwing away –

  • Light stuff (household junk, boxes, yard waste) = smaller sizes OK

  • Heavy stuff (concrete, dirt, roofing, tile) = smaller, weight-friendly sizes

  • How much debris you expect – Think in “pickup truck loads”:

  • 10 yd ≈ 3–4 truck loads

  • 15–20 yd ≈ 5–8 truck loads

  • 30–40 yd ≈ 10+ truck loads

  • Space on your property – Measure your driveway or placement area to be sure the dumpster can fit.

  • Weight limits and fees – Heavier materials fill the weight limit before the dumpster looks full; better to size appropriately than pay overweight fees.

  • Future loads – If you’re unsure, it’s usually cheaper to go one size bigger than to order a second dumpster.

  • Still not sure? – Text or call us, tell us your project (what you’re doing and what you’re tossing), and we’ll recommend the best size for you. at your job, this will help get the right dumpster rental

Safe Dumpster Placement

Where is the best place to put the dumpster onsite?

  • Our most common spot to place to set the container is right in the driveway.  Our dumpster rentals are Driveway safe!

We can place the dumpster wherever you would like as long as we have room.  If you want us to place it off of the driver always keep the weather in mind.  We try our best to avoid getting our equipment stuck or damage to your property.

Hazardous Material Chart

Do I have to throw everything over the side walls of the dumpster?

  • All of our dumpster rentals have a rear entry door that will allow you to walk debris right into the container

  • Most large equipment is able to load over the side walls of our 20 yard and 30 yard dumpsters, as pictured below

  • For larger jobs, or second story work.  A trash chute is a common tool used to assist in filling the container.

How high can I fill the dumpster?

This container has been loaded properly, you can see this load is level with the side walls.  Our driver must be able to tarp the container upon exiting, These Rules are the same with every dumpster hauling service

Concrete dumpster

How do I get rid of concrete or heavy material?

  • When removing dirt, concrete, or other heavy materials we have NO problem with those jobs.  It is very important that we know the material to make sure you get the right dumpster. San Antonio DOT Regulates how much weight we can haul.

  • Due to the weight of the concrete, the largest container we can use is our 20 yard, which is pictured above.  With concrete you can only fill 1/2 to 2/3 full because the material is to heavy.  It can be very dangerous on the road.
